Sunday started where Saturday left off, more intense 5th Grade action. The first game of the afternoon saw the Tennessee Swag 5th Grade (0-1) taking on the No. 1 team in the 5th Grade Division, the undefeated Team Penny (5-0) 10U . This was another close one, at halftime the game was tied at 18. Coach Johnson's signature diamond press initially caused problems for Coach Lawson's Team Penny squad. But in the end it was No. 23 Jalen Brown who proved to be absolutely unstoppable. Brown scored 21 points, tying the division record high and he added 1 assist, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, & 1 block. Team Penny pulled off yet another victory.

Swag's schedule didn't get any easier as they took on the No. 2 team in the 5th Grade Division, the Memphis Wareagles 5th Grade B team (3-2) in the afternoon's second game. The scoring tandem of No. 4 Kameron Jones (20 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, & 1 steal) and No. 0 Devin Owens (14 points, 4 rebounds, & 1 steal) proved to be overwhelming as the Wareagles prevailed 54-39. Swag's guard No. 3 Kavion McClain moved into the number spot as far as scoring is concerned in the 5th Grade Division passing Marvarious Scales who had led the league in scoring.

The Collierville Dragons 12U (0-4) took on the Gaisman CC Magic 12U (2-6) in the third game of the day. Rebounding was clearly the determing factor of this game. The Dragons had three players with 10 or more rebounds; No. 3 Charlie Sweet had 10, No. 10 Harrison Mullaney had 10, and Yatyn Anderson had 13. Mullaney was the Player of the Game with 18 points, 2 steals, and 1 block giving him a double-double with his ten boards. The Dragons won 50-18.

In the final game of the night No. 1 Gaisman CC Magic 16U (6-0) continued its dominace of 16&Under Division as it cruised to a victory over Team Tough (1-3). The Magic were led by No. 10 Johnathan Frazier and No. 4 J. Harvey who both had 13 points.

Today was full of nail-biters and heartbreakers. Game one was between two familiar foes as the FCA-Nighthawks 14U Red Team took on an older 16U FCA Nighthawks team. Despite another double-double from "Mr. Double-Double" Wyatt Halliday (17 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, & 1 assist) Coach Bell's Nighthawks were upset by Coach Smith's underdogs 51-44, who were led by Isaiah Binford (17 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, & 2 steals).

In Game Two, Lowrance JV (1-4) took on Havenview JV (0-2). Coach Lott's Lions lost 37-34 despite a huge game from Onterrio Collins (17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, & 1 block). Cameron Jones led Coach LA's Havenview squad with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.

Coach Kenny Thomas' undefeated Memphis Fire (4-0) took on the JV squad from Shadowlawn (2-2) and its coaching duo of Brown and Cincore in the third game. It was the J&T show for Shadowlawn as J. Cincore and T. Adams filled up the stat sheet. Cincore had 11 points, 3 rebounds, & 1 assist while Hawkins added 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 block, & 1 assist. It wasn't enough however as the Fire prevailed. They had two players in double figures E. Brooks had 11 points and CJ Garner had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, & 1 assist.

Game 4 was more Middle School JV action as the No. 3 ranked Memphis Wareagles 5th Grade A Team (4-1) took on the No. 4 ranked Wooddale JV (3-2) team. The Wareagles jumped out to an early lead but Wooddale made a run and fought back into the game behind a double-double performance from Isaiah Mills (10 points, 10 steals, 4 rebounds, & 1 assist.) In the end the Wareagles experience and composure proved to be too much for Wooddale. The Wareagles No. 20 Rodney Newsom led all scorers with 11 points. He also had 3 rebounds and was the Player of the Game.

In Game 5 No. 1 ranked Hickory Hill Community Center continued its dominance in the 14&Under Division with a 46-17 victory over the Team Brown Jr. Bandits. F. Joof was the Player of the Game due to an impressive double-double performance (14 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 steals).

Saturday's sixth game went down to the wire as the Memphis Rage White Team (4-2) defeated Southern Ave. Middle School (2-3) 36-34 despite a big game from No. 2 Byron Walker (13 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, & 2 rebounds)

The final game of the night was also decided by two points. We saw two of the more dominant 5th Grade squads in the city take on each other Hickory Hill CC Wildcats 10&Under (3-3) vs. Coach Brandon Johnson's Tennessee Swag (0-0) as they made their 2012-2013 MBA debut. Hickory Hill jumped out to an early lead and at the end of the first quarter lead 19-13. But Swag stuck around and the game was tied 30-30 by the end of the third quarter. But the play of Player of the Game Marvarious Scales (17 points, 5 steals, & 4 rebounds) proved to be too overwhelming as the Wildcats pulled out a close one 43-41.
